An invitation...

Do you engage in an activity that seems to slow down your busy life? A pastime that you enjoy through the practice of doing.   Do you lose a sense of time and feel invigorated or rested afterwards?

As an ongoing project, I am curiously researching PASTIMES - how we pass the time through creating and doing.
Please contact me if you are willing to share your experience with me.

In gratitude,  Adrienne

About me and my work...

I am a photographer, born in Ontario, Canada and now living in the village of Gémenos, France.

My love of photography began around 1972 when my mom showed me how make an image with her Kodak Baby Brownie - it was fascinating!

In 2016 my focus became more artistic as I felt called to practice photography with much more intention.

Wandering with my camera is a way for me to slow down; to notice my surroundings, to connect and to be present, and to expand my creativity.  I have found that practicing photography, along with yoga, have helped me to navigate through life's trying times, and that creativity is essential as we evolve and learn about ourself and others.  It is through photography that I found the courage to explore my surroundings with curiosity and appreciation.

Photography is a great tool to observe and learn about life and the human condition, as are the many forms of artistic expression.  It is with curiosity and introspection that I continue to experiment through art (multimedia) and photography (digital and analog).

It is my hope, to make pieces and photographs that invite us to pause, breathe deeply, and notice what we are feeling physically and emotionally -- to connect to oneself, to expand the sense of who we are and question our presence within our environment, and community, and how our actions and energy collectively will take us forward.
